Doing Business with SRNS

Supplier Diversity Programs make good business sense. Including qualified diverse suppliers broadens our base of suppliers, brings creativity and diverse thinking into our processes and ensures the company of procuring the best goods and services at the most optimum cost. Fostering equal opportunities for all suppliers enables our company to be socially responsible.

It is the intention of SCM to work closely with the Supplier Diversity and Supplier Relations in identifying and using diverse suppliers.

Socioeconomic Policy

It is the policy of the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS) to conduct all business in a manner where suppliers are given an equal opportunity to compete for work regardless of race, creed, color, gender or national origin. To the maximum extent practicable and within the framework of established SRNS procurement practices, SRNS will provide business opportunities to Local Trade Area Concerns, Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUB Zone) Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Woman Owned Small Businesses, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

A Supplier Diversity Program Office within Supply Chain Management (SCM) advocates and reports on the progress of the Supplier Diversity Program. However, for SRNS to continue to be successful, teamwork and commitment from each department is required. We must guarantee every supplier an equal opportunity to provide us with the best goods and services and the most competitive prices.

Your commitment to this program is a corporate goal. All functional groups are expected to contribute to our success. In those areas where SCM has established subcontracts with small disadvantaged businesses to provide services to SRNS, those firms will be given every opportunity to fulfill our requirements. Where opportunities have not existed, we encourage you to aggressively look for ways to expand the opportunities offered diverse suppliers. When given a chance, diverse suppliers can and do compete and perform successfully.

We are firmly committed to the success of our supplier diversity program, and we encourage your
support of the program by taking an active role ensuring that all suppliers are encouraged and given an
opportunity to do business with SRNS.
